Cannon Beach Engagement

There’s something undeniably magical about a surprise proposal on the Oregon Coast—especially when it unfolds at sunset in the heart of Cannon Beach. As a Portland-based family photographer, I have the honor of documenting some of life’s most meaningful moments across the region, and specifically the northern Oregon coast which offers the most incredible backdrop for milestones like these. Chase and Kayleigh’s unforgettable proposal and following engagement session in Cannon Beach was one of those evenings that felt straight out of a dream.

Traveling all the way from Austin, Texas, Chase reached out while planning a coastal getaway with his girlfriend, Kayleigh. He shared his vision of proposing during sunset on the beach and wanted the emotional, joy-filled moment captured—from the surprise itself to a romantic engagement session afterward to celebrate the beginning of their forever. With golden light, the iconic coastal scenery surrounding us, and ideal weather, everything came together beautifully. It was the perfect way to commemorate such a life-changing milestone and the beginning of their next chapter together.
