Isla Jo: A Water Birth Story

This fall I was blessed with the task of documenting the arrival of baby Isla Jo at a water birth center in Portland. Each labor and delivery I have witnessed has been drastically different and uniquely wonderful. Seeing what Mama's go through during labor and delivery is always incredible. However, this natural birth was awe-inspiring. Sara's strength radiated throughout her labor and with tears in my eyes behind the lens, I captured Isla's birth with amazement. As a birth photographer, I feel lucky to be present for these live changing moments and I hope to capture more memories like these in the future. Here is the story of Isla's birth and the moment the White's becoming a lovely family of four.
